A real-life case study: environmental logistics and problem solving
Waste disposal is often seen as a simple, repetitive process, but that is not always the case.
Sometimes, we face complex logistical challenges, hard-to-reach environments, and materials accumulated over many years.
That is what happened in this case: a large hotel contacted us to clear its warehouses, located in a basement that was not accessible by conventional vehicles.
What many might have seen as a problem was, for us, a mission to complete—with precision, safety, and full compliance with regulations.
The context: a neglected warehouse
Over the years, the hotel’s warehouses had turned into a storage area for all kinds of waste:
- obsolete equipment / equipment no longer in use
- bulky packaging
- WEEE and office materials
- maintenance waste and mixed components
Everything was difficult to classify and transport, with narrow spaces and access routes that allowed only manual handling.
The intervention: from classification to manual loading
We began with a technical site inspection to analyze the waste present and support the company in determining the correct EWC codes.
Our operator Mattia, an environmental expert, coordinated every phase of the operation:
- Support in identifying and labeling more than 20 EWC waste codes.
- Planning of access routes and loading procedures.
- Management of waste not identified during the initial phase as well.
- Constant on-site supervision of the activities.
All of this was carried out with full autonomy and transparency towards the client, who visited several times throughout the day to check the progress of the work—always providing positive feedback.

Logistics: 15 trips in 3 days
Given the inability to access the warehouse with trucks or vans, the entire disposal process was carried out manually, using multiple transports and optimized timing.
In just 3 days, we completed 15 transport runs.
Each load was checked, recorded, and tracked through the official documentation required by regulations (waste identification form – FIR).
The result: cleared warehouses and a satisfied client.
The client was finally able to reuse the cleared premises, achieving:
- Recovery of 4 parking spaces in the internal parking area.
- Elimination of a situation that could have led to penalties.
- All the necessary documentation to demonstrate proper waste management.
The best part? No worries for the client: they entrusted us with the entire operation, receiving updates and full availability throughout.

Lesson learned: flexibility (and expertise) is essential.
This intervention reminded us that:
- Each case must be assessed individually, with a technical eye and a practical mindset.
- Environmental logistics requires the ability to adapt on site.
- The client needs a partner, not just a supplier.
With Eurocorporation, even the most complex interventions become manageable.
Our team is trained to handle difficult situations, always with professionalism and in full compliance with regulations.
